On June 2, 2018, EOS will be moving from Ethereum protocol (ERC20) to mainnet. We cannot commit to supporting EOS on mainnet at this time for several reasons, the most significant of which are:
- EOS has multiple chains and we will not be able to support all chains, therefore we need to wait for an indefinite period of time for things to stabilize.
- The amount of work that will be required to support EOS on mainnet will be substantial, and because of the aforementioned uncertainty surrounding this, we cannot feasibly commit resources to supporting it at this time.
If you currently have EOS tokens in your BitGo Ethereum wallet(s), please move your EOS out of those wallets as soon as possible. Please complete this by May 21st.
We recommend moving them to My Ether Wallet; please refer to the following for instructions to create a new MEW wallet: https://myetherwallet.github.io/knowledge-base/getting-started/creating-a-new-wallet-on-myetherwallet.html. Please also refer to https://medium.com/@toddwelker/live-in-the-us-and-want-to-register-your-eos-tokens-here-is-a-step-by-step-guide-5df1578dc1a7 for additional information. Please note that this move MUST be done in order to have access to your EOS tokens on the new blockchain.
Please contact our Support Department if you have any questions regarding this.
