Understanding Video IDs

Live Video Ids are required for the following scenarios:

  • Any policy unlock and/or edits

  • Withdrawals that trigger the BitGo Video ID policy (default $250k)

  • Freezing or unfreezing an enterprise

  • Authorizing 2FA resets for other members of your organization

Who Needs to do the Initial Verification?

The individual designated as the Platform Administrator during the Know Your Customer (KYC) onboarding process is required to complete the first video ID verification with the BitGo team. This person is considered the primary owner responsible for setting up the account.

Authorizing Other Team Members

A Platform Administrator can authorize team members to approve scenarios requiring video ID verification. To do so, each member must be added to the Video ID User Role in the Admin Console before they can schedule a video ID call and be verified by the BitGo team.

Scheduling the Video ID Verification Walkthrough

Once the user(s) have been added to the Video ID User Role, they will see a banner to schedule their initial Video ID call from the Tasks page. To get to the Tasks page, click the Bell Notification icon on the top right corner of the BitGo Homepage. There should be a pop up to Set Up Video ID. Click Schedule and select the option to schedule your verification call and book a time that works best for you using the calendly link.
